Between my loving (and super patient) husband, two dogs, and five (count 'em, five) amazing kids, I am constantly winging it, and figuring things out. While my goal each day is to ultimately know better and do better, my daily mantra is "progress- not perfection!"

Like many of you, I'm a wife and mom—
and, like many of you, I didn't know what I didn't know.
I thought the terms "all natural" and "organic" actually meant they were safe for my family. I assumed ingredients were regulated and tested before being put on the shelves. Because we live in a country that regulates everything, right? WRONG.
The truth is that, there hasn't been a major federal law passed in the United States since1938. The U.S. has banned only 30 ingredients, while Europe has banned over 1400. NOT OK.
That is why I partnered with Beautycounter. I have the great honor of working to educate others and advocate for more health protective laws. I want my children to grow up in a world where they can feel confident about the products they are using, and never concerned about exposure to sneaky toxins.
